Allocate parking spaces for customers, Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner tells commercial establishments

To tackle parking problem in the city, Commissioner of Police, Shankabratha Bagchi has appealed the owners/managements of commercial establishments and multiplexes to ensure their customers park their vehicles in only allocated spaces. He conducted a meeting with the managements along with other officials at the City Police Conference Hall, here on Saturday.

Mr. Bagchi has asked the representatives to appoint security at the offices and ensure they direct the customers to the parking. He has also urged the GVMC authorities to identify vacant spaces in the city and set up parking spaces for the public. He has also said that the managements should display the charges for the customers at the parking spots. He also added that for the first 30 minutes, it should be free for the vehicles.

Later, Mr Bagchi has visited cybercrime police station as well as the women police station at Yendada. He interacted with the Station House Officer (SHOs) and enquired about the cases being registered, pending cases, etc.
