BMW M2 completes its run-in period; Exhaust upgrade after 1st service

The car now feels like a proper 6-cylinder and love the way it suddenly sounds a bit exotic at higher RPMs.

BHPian AdiSinghV12 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Just a quick update for the Team BHP fam after a pitstop for the 2000 kms break-in service. It was carried out by Navnit Motors in a day and costed around INR 30,000 and included an engine oil and differential oil change.

The only hiccup so far was a few rattles from the light console over the IRVM but it was fixed during the run-in service. Not really sure how they did it but the console now seems solidly stuck up tighter.

On another note, I went ahead and got a single midpipe installed along with carbon fibre diffuser, and thanks to the wizardry of Redline Autohaus who managed it in couple of hours along with the coding. He’s a blessing in the Mumbai car scene with his wealth of knowledge. Haven’t driven the car much after the midpipe but it has totally removed the vibrations at idle and the car now feels like a proper 6 cylinder along and love the way it suddenly sounds a bit exotic at higher RPMs and not to mention the improvement in throttle response.
