Hyderabad: HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath on Saturday disclosed that the city will be having a separate police station for the agency soon. He was speaking at
a national conference organised by the National Biodiversity Authority and the International Council for Local Environmental Initiative here.
Ranganath said, “We are focused more on the conservation and restoration of waterbodies.” He added that if anyone tried to encroach on lake land, HYDRAA was empowered to prevent it.”
Ranganath said that the government would support the HYDRA and court judgments in the case of demolition of illegal structures were clear.
“Mostly the rich are occupying government places,” Ranganath said.
