Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for rainfall across Telangana for the next three days, alongside a predicted rise in temperatures. An IMD official stated, “Following the landfall of cyclone Fengal, Telangana will experience cloudy skies, leading to nighttime temperatures being 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal.”
The official also mentioned that light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated locations across the state for next three days due to the storm’s influence. Districts under the yellow alert include Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
Weather expert T Balaji commented, “The cold season ended, and rain is on its way. Over the next five days, Telangana will experience overcast skies with intermittent light to moderate showers.”
