Road safety sessions held for engineering students in Hyderabad

To prevent road accidents, the Cyberabad Security Council, the Rajendra Nagar traffic police and the Traffic Training Institute (TTI) launched comprehensive ‘Traffic Management and Road Safety Training’ programmes at engineering colleges here.

The first such programme was held in Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) and JBIET Engineering Colleges. The sessions focused on educating students, security staff and drivers about road safety measures such as obeying traffic rules; using seat belts and helmets; refraining from using mobile phone while driving and maintaining speed limits.

The colleges extended their support by deploying their trained security personnel and student volunteers to assist the traffic police in managing traffic congestion during peak hours on Himayatsagar Road at Moinabad.

This collaboration aims to alleviate traffic bottlenecks, according to police officials.
