Hyderabad: Fans of Sunny Leone were upset and disappointed after her much-anticipated event at a pub in Jubilee Hills on Saturday night was cancelled at the last moment after police denied permission.
The organizers had planned a live DJ performance by Sunny Leone as part of their weekend celebrations. Tickets for the event, scheduled to be held from 11 pm to 12.30 am, were sold to nearly 500 attendees through BookMyShow.
However, the police rejected the application for permission for the show on law and order grounds. Despite the denial, the organizers invited Sunny Leone to Hyderabad expecting the issue would be sorted out.
On noticing the people were gathering at Illusion Pub for the event the police beefed up security to prevent any untoward incident. The organizers of the event then through a video message informed about the cancellation of the event.
Heavy police security was deployed at the pub to prevent the program from proceeding. Attendees who had purchased tickets began gathering at the venue from 8 PM, unaware of the developing situation.
A huge police contingent was posted near the pub following the development.
