Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders from Korutla constituency have cautioned the police against harassing the party activists and foisting cases on the instructions of Congress leaders.

The constituency leaders’ meeting was held at the residence of MLC K. Kavitha and was attended by Jagitial district president of the party K. Vidyasagar Rao, Korutla MLA K. Sanjay and others. They alleged that both the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues were biding time by using filthy language against political opponents.

At a meeting with Padmashali Sangham later, the speakers criticised the Centre for imposing GST on handloom textiles and Ms. Kavitha pointed out that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had promised that his party’s government, whenever formed, would reimburse the GST levied on handlooms. However, it was forgotten by the State government even after one year into office.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kavitha, who is president of Telangana Jagruthi, has decided to hold review meetings of the cultural body from December 4 to 8 with two erstwhile districts’ meeting every day. Warangal and Nizamabad districts’ review would be held on December 4, Karimnagar and Nalgonda on December 5, Rangareddy and Adilabad on December 6, Hyderabad and Khammam and December 7 and Medak and Mahabubnagar on December 8.
