Nagaland’s magical vibrancy brings alive Raj Bhavan

Hyderabad: Cultural displays brought alive Raj Bhavan which celebrated Nagaland Foundation Day, under the auspices of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat (EBSB), here on Sunday.

Speaking at the event Governor Jishnu Dev Varma underscored the significance of showcasing the rich traditions of the north-east, and providing greater national visibility of its cultural heritage.

“The north-east is like a treasure trove and deserves greater visibility across India. Events like these bridge gaps and foster unity,” he said.

Varma shared personal anecdotes of his experiences in Nagaland, praising its scenic beauty and cultural richness. Reflecting on the contributions of the Naga Regiment in the Kargil War, he hailed the state’s enduring spirit of patriotism.

The event saw participation of Nagaland natives based in the city, including professionals, students, faculty members from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU).

Cultural programmes, meticulously planned and executed to perfection by Dr Venusa Tinyi (philosophy), Dr Aliba Ao (earth and atmospheric sciences), Dr Walling (economics) and Dr Rhelo Kenye (comparative literature), captured the diverse traditions of the state.

Dr V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy, EBSB coordinator at UoH, facilitated the event.
