Secretary, Department of Youth Services, Tourism and Culture V. Vinay Chand on Tuesday (December 3) said elaborate arrangements were being made for the proposed three-day cultural festival ‘Krishnaveni Sangeeta Neerajanam’, from December 6.
In a statement, Mr. Vinay Chand said the festival would be organised on a grand scale to enthuse music lovers across the State, at three different venues — Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam and the Krishna River ghat.
The event, being jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Sangeet Natak Akademi and the State Department of Culture, would be inaugurated on December 6 at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, State Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and other Union and State Ministers are scheduled to attend. “The objective is to transform Vijayawada into a vibrant hub for music lovers,” said Mr. Vinay Chand.
