Hyderabad: Tremors were felt in several areas of Telugu States, causing panic among residents.
A magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Telangana’s Mulugu at 7:26 AM on Wednesday, the National Center for Seismology stated. Tremors were felt in Khammam, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Hanmakonda and some other districts.
Tremors were also felt in Kothagudem, Manuguru, Bhadrachalam, Charla, Chintakani, and Nagulavancha areas in erstwhile Khammam.
Tremors were felt in Vijayawada and Jaggayyapet town in Andhra Pradesh, which lasted for two seconds.
However, there were no reports of casualties or major damage.
