A man illegally entered Salman Khan’s shoot location and threatened, ‘Should I call Bishnoi?’ He’s been taken into police custody.

Salman Khan has been receiving death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang for many years now.
A man was taken into police custody after illegally entering the shooting site of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Tuesday. When confronted, he allegedly asked, “Should I call Bishnoi?” The suspect has been taken to Shivaji Park police station for further questioning. This marks yet another security concern surrounding the actor, following a series of threats over recent months.
This incident comes amid a recent surge in threats linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates, who have previously targeted Salman Khan over alleged grievances related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
Just last month, the actor received a threat over a song linking his name to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The threat was received by Mumbai’s traffic control room. The threat message referenced a song that allegedly names both Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi, stating that the songwriter responsible would face severe repercussions within a month. “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should save them,” the threat message read.
In a recent arrest, a 32-year-old man named Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, was detained by police in Karnataka’s Haveri in connection with prior threats to Salman. Originally from Jalore in Rajasthan, Bhikha Ram was handed over to Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Why Is Salman Khan Receiving Death Threats?
Salman Khan has been facing ongoing threats linked to his 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The actor’s alleged involvement in the killing of two blackbucks during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain angered the Bishnoi community, for whom the blackbuck is considered sacred. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who leads a criminal group with ties to the community, has repeatedly stated that the actor must apologise publicly, or he and his father, Salim Khan, will face severe consequences. In 2022, Bishnoi confirmed that his community would not forgive Salman Khan unless such an apology is issued.
Shah Rukh Khan Got A Threat Call
In November 2024, Shah Rukh Khan also received a threat call, and a case was reportedly filed at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai. According to News18, the call came from Faizan, a resident of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Sources confirmed that a team from the Mumbai Police was sent to Raipur for further investigation. It was also revealed that the call demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the actor.
The recent death threats targeting both actors come just two months after the tragic murder of political leader Baba Siddique. An alleged member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for Siddique’s death and issued a threat to Salman Khan in the same statement. Since then, Salman Khan has been on high alert, with the Mumbai Police taking necessary steps to ensure his safety. Mumbai Police have deployed an escort vehicle to follow the actor’s official car, with the Special Reserve Police Force (SRPF) stationed outside his Bandra and Panvel residences.
