The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence and with the support of Bharat Dynamics Ltd, will jointly organise the second regional Defence MSME conclave at Fairfield Marriott in the city on on December 16.
Vice-Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, will grace the conclave as the guest of honour.
The conclave aims to bring together key stakeholders for the first time on a unified platform to discuss and chart the future roadmap for the participation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) & Start-up in India’s thriving defence sector, according to a release here.
Key representatives from the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Naval Dockyards, Naval Projects, Ship Building Center (SBC) and financial institutions will be present to provide insights on government initiatives, MSME-friendly schemes, access to finance and business opportunities available in the defence sector.
