Hyderabad: The state-level food safety task force during inspections in Medak on Tuesday and found Sunny Foods in Kallakal, Manoharabad, to be running without a FSSAI license.
The officials found that the FBO was manipulating product names to make them look more attractive, being sold alongside pictures that did not match the products. This is in violation of the FSSAI labelling guidelines, the commissioner of food safety said.
The FBO was also selling expired food additives such as tomato masala, which are used in making ready-to-eat savouries.
The officials seized and discarded snacks like namkeen, chips and coloured saunf worth `2.13 lakh.
