Hyderabad: In a step towards strengthening the infrastructure for women and children safety, the foundation stone laying for the Learning-cum-Experience Centre was held here on Thursday.
The event took place at the designated site near the Police Headquarters attended by Shikha Goel, DGP, CID and Women Safety Wing, Telangana, senior police officials, professionals, and stakeholders.
With funding from VIATRIS, committed through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to the tune of Rs 2.5 crore, this project marks a significant milestone in promoting safety and empowerment for women and children in Telangana.
This Learning-cum-Experience Centre is a state-of-the-art facility envisioned to enhance the capacity and outreach of Bharosa Society, which operates under the aegis of the Women Safety Wing, Telangana.
Shikha Goel said such initiatives have been instrumental in providing holistic support, including police assistance, medical care, legal aid, and psychological counseling to victims of violence and abuse.
