Mahindra XUV700 Electric (XEV 7e) Range, Estimated Price, Launch Details

Mahindra & Mahindra has an aggressive EV strategy for the Indian market. The indigenous automaker recently unveiled its first two all-new born-electric SUVs in their production-ready forms – the XEV 9e and BE 6e. As of now, the carmaker has revealed specifications, features, and starting prices for both EVs. The full prices will be announced during their public debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January. Following these two EVs, the next born-electric SUV from Mahindra will be the XEV 7e (Mahindra XUV700 Electric), which was recently trademarked in the country.

Mahindra XUV700 Electric Design

The Mahindra XEV 7e will essentially be the electric version of the XUV700 SUV. Leaked images of this EV have revealed its interior and design details. Its front fascia resembles the XEV 9e, featuring a blacked-out grille, triangular LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, new skid plates, LED light bars, and contrast ORVMs. It also has flush-fitting door handles and new alloy wheels.

Mahindra XUV700 Electric Interior

The interior layout and features are also borrowed from the XEV 9e. The Mahindra XEV 7e comes with a three-screen setup – one for the infotainment system, one for the driver’s display, and one for the front passenger. Other features include a two-spoke steering wheel, powered front seats with a memory function, a panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, VisionX HUD, an electronic parking brake, drive modes, Level 2 ADAS, and TPMS.

Mahindra XUV700 Electric Powertrain

Powertrain details of the new Mahindra XEV 7e are not available at this point in time. However, it’s expected to come with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs with a standard single electric motor. Its maximum range is estimated to be around 500km on a single charge. Unlike its donor sibling, the XEV 7e might get an AWD drivetrain right from the launch. Leaked images also confirm that the SUV has traction modes, including a ‘Snow’ mode for off-roading adventures.

Expected Price

The Mahindra XUV700 electric prices are expected to start around Rs 20 lakh and go up to Rs 28 lakh for the top-end variant. Its ICE counterpart is currently available within the price range of Rs 13.99 lakh – Rs 24.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
