SPSR Nellore district administration has completed all arrangements to hold the mega parent-teacher meeting (PTM) in 2,604 schools across the district on Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. District Collector O. Anand said around five lakh people would attend the PTM, being organised by the government with a fund of ₹48 lakh.
The Collector said the PTM is an important part of the learning system, used to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the children and thereby help them grow. Besides, there will be an opportunity to identify the needs of the schools from the perspective of the parents. District level, mandal level and village level officials will attend every school.
“Various committees have already been appointed in all schools for this purpose. Invitation cards were prepared and presented to each student inviting their parents with their own personal message. Also, the teachers have sent SMS to the mobile numbers of the parents. Along with cultural programmes, several competitions will be conducted for mothers and fathers separately.”
“Children will be given performance cards. Similarly, health tests will be conducted at 42 identified schools and health cards will be provided to them. Lunch will also be provided to the parents, along with their children. A special control room has been set up to work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. A special officer has been appointed at each mandal for the management of this programme,” he said.
Revenue Sadassulu
The district administration will organise the ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ from December 6 to January 8. The government has had announced to conduct revenue meetings under the name ‘Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku’ with an intention to resolve land issues of the people.
A team of officials from Revenue, Forests, Endowments and Waqf departments will visit each revenue village to solve the land issues at village level. The land issue applications will be examined and the land records prior to 2019 will be compared with the current status.
Adangal, Form 1B Register 22(A) lists will be made available. The land issues related to the differences in measurements, changes in survey numbers, registration of legal heirs, boundary issues, differences in land area, errors in resurvey records and other land disputes will be resolved.
The people who have lost their land due to encroachment can also complain to the officials in the revenue meetings. The old pass books will be cancelled and new pass books will be issued with the government seal.
