NEW DELHI: The death of a young woman in a stampede outside the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad did little to deter the die-hard fans of Telugu star Allu Arjun, who gathered in large numbers on Thursday to watch the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.
The atmosphere outside the theatre was electric, with eager fans lining up in long queues, ready to witness the action-packed sequel.
Roads leading to the venue were congested, with thousands of fans causing significant traffic disruptions.
The scene outside the theater mirrored the chaos of the previous day, when a 39-year-old woman, identified as Revati from Dilsukhnagar, died in the stampede.
She succumbed to her injuries at KIMS Hospital. Her 9-year-old son, Sriteja, was receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
The stampede occurred when police attempted to control the unruly crowd gathered for a glimpse of Allu Arjun ahead of the premiere.
Despite the tragedy, the film is expected to dominate the box office, thanks to its gripping action sequences, strong performances, and massive fan following.
