Steps taken to regulate traffic in Kurnool city: SP


Superintendent of Police G Bindhu Madhav has said steps are being taken to regulate traffic in the Kurnool city.

The SP on Thursday inaugurated five solar powered digital barricades, 10 iron barricades, 50 No Parking boards, and two amplifiers for regulating traffic in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bindhu Madhav said the solar barricades will be used to create awareness about traffic rules and violations such as drunken driving and others. Similarly, public announcement system would also be used for regulating traffic.

Drones were also being used to monitor and regulate traffic, the SP said adding the drones are also used to keep a tab on consumption of liquor in open places. Mr. Bindhu Madhav said steps would be taken to evolve an action plan to regulate traffic in the city and focus would be kept on reducing road accidents.

On the occasion, Mr. Bindhu Madhav asked people to inform police on Dial 112 or 100 to inform about suspicious activities.
