A.P. State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is hosting sports competitions for employees of all State Transport organisations in the country, under the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), at the Police Parade Ground at Kailasagiri from December 6 to 8.
The track at the ground was being prepared on the eve of the mega event on Thursday. The RTC officials have been holding review meetings for over a week now to ensure the success of the national-level event. Various committees were formed to ensure that sportspersons coming from various States do not face any problems. The officials, heading the committees, were asked to personally monitor the functioning of the committee concerned, on a day-to-day basis.
APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana will inaugurate the event at 9 a.m. on December 6.
RTC Zone-1 Chairman Donnu Dora, RTC MD, DGP and ASRTU vice president Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Principal Secretary (Transport, R & B) Kantilal Dande, RTC ED (Administration) GV Ravi Varma, Vizianagaram Zone ED A. Vijaya Kumar and Visakhapatnam District Public Transportation Officer B. Appala Naidu and officials would attend the inaugural programme.
