The A.P. State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is set to host an exciting national sports competition for employees of all State Transport Organizations under the banner of the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU). The grand event will take place at the Police Parade Ground near Kailasagiri, Visakhapatnam, from December 6 to 8.
Preparations in Full Swing
On the eve of this mega event, the track at the venue was being meticulously prepared to ensure the best experience for participants and spectators. APSRTC officials have been deeply involved in the groundwork, conducting review meetings over the past week to fine-tune every aspect of the arrangements. To streamline the organization of this large-scale event, several committees have been formed. Each committee is responsible for addressing specific logistical and operational needs, including accommodation, transportation, and food for sportspersons traveling from various states.
Officials heading these committees have been instructed to monitor their respective areas closely and report their progress daily, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
Grand Inauguration
APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana will formally inaugurate the event on December 6 at 9 a.m. The inauguration will be graced by distinguished dignitaries, including RTC Zone-1 Chairman Donnu Dora, RTC Managing Director and ASRTU Vice President Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Principal Secretary (Transport, R & B) Kantilal Dande, RTC Executive Director (Administration) GV Ravi Varma, Vizianagaram Zone ED A. Vijaya Kumar, and Visakhapatnam District Public Transportation Officer B. Appala Naidu.
