Hyderabad: Three youngsters returning home after Ramzan celebration died in a road accident on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada NH in Suryapet district on Thursday midnight.
Their car had crashed into a DCM van from behind. The deceased were identified as Venne Nikhil Reddy, Gundegani Rakesh and Mahmood Nameed, all aged 23 years, while their friend Somagani Adithya, 25, sustained injuries.
Police said that one of the deceased, Nameed, who had completed his B.Tech had organised a treat for his friends at his home in Suryapet town on the ocassion of Ramzan.He was also leaving abroad for higher studies soon, said cops.
Suryapet DSP G Ravi said that the boys might have crashed the van from behind due to over speeding.
