The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has carried out demolition of unauthorised structures in Yapral of Jawahar Nagar corporation in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Friday.
Based on the complaint that structures were being raised in the buffer zone of Nagireddy Kunta drain, an inquiry was conducted by the Revenue, Irrigation, HMDA and Municipal officials. In the inquiry, it was proven that a function hall was constructed in survey numbers 14 and 32 which were part of government land.
The builder is alleged to have already occupied an adjacent government land and provided a different survey number to the High Court in order to obtain stay order. He also tried to mislead the officials by showing the stay order as applicable to the fresh encroachment.
However, an inquiry by the HYDRAA revealed the encroachment, and the same was brought down, a press note informed.
