Restoring my 1970 Mahindra CJ3B: Replaced diesel hoses

The fuel pipe and the return pipes were also changed, however, the pipe originally was of metal, now it is plastic. The mechanic says that the metal one are not available and latest being used are these? Any comments experts please

The painter looks to be slow, I will watch him for 48 hours more and then change him. I had gone to him as the tub is there. He has to apply paint remover before applying the rubber paint at the base. Today he tells me that the paint is on the way from Jaipur.

I also like this tyre from JK Tyres. It is 6.00 x 16, same size as my NDMS. looking at the thread pattern it would be better then the NDMS on good roads and also on rough roads. It even looked a bit broader . The use of white paint to highlight the markings looked good
