Vision document will be created for the development of Visakhapatnam, says Chief Minister

On the lines of Vision 2047 for the Andhra Pradesh, a vision document will be created for the development of Visakhapatnam city, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said.

He was speaking to the media after taking part in the DeepTech Innovation Conclave here on Friday. Mr. Naidu said that important projects like metro rail, Bhogapuram international airport and development of coastal areas will be completed at the earliest.

He also said that the government is committed on protection of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) and also completion of railway zone headquarters in the city. Mr. Naidu informed that TCS will be setting its office in the city very soon and a few more IT companies will also follow suit.

The Chief Minister said that he believes that proper utilisation of technology will yield efficient results in all the fields. Besides, it helps in reducing money spent and generates income. “We are working on how to benefit the poor with the use of technology,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that Vision 2047 should be adopted by the people, public administration, government officials as well as political representatives. In the coming days, Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati will be developed as major innovation hubs, he added.
