Hyderabad: Alleging that the Congress govt cheated all sections of society in the past one year, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the BRS would fight for the people whether in ruling or in opposition.
Speaking after releasing a short film ‘Nammi Nana Posthe’ produced by former MLA Rasamayee Balakishan at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, KTR said BRS’s foundation was built on movements and people. “Twelve months ago, we lost power in the assembly elections but not the fighting spirit,” KTR said. He said the party was fighting on various issues, including corruption and the ‘anti-people’ policies of the Congress govt. Despite defections from the parties, BRS could withstand the conspiracies and fight against the govt, he said.
KTR said the Congress party promised six guarantees and 420 promises, and only a couple of them were implemented in one year.
Meanwhile, farmers of Lagacharla met KTR at Telangana Bhavan and sought the help of BRS govt. He assured them that the party would stand by them until all illegal cases were withdrawn and fight until the govt cancelled the land acquisition notification. He said the party would raise the Lagacharla land issue.
