Pawan promises to solve water crisis in Kadapa

Vijayawada: Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan pledged to address the water problem being faced by people in Kadapa district and highlighted the importance of ensuring access to safe drinking water to all.
Speaking at a mega Parent-Teacher meeting organised at Kadapa Municipal High School, Pawan Kalyan emphasised the coalition govt’s commitment to resolving water issues that have been plaguing the area since many years.
“I didn’t realise Kadapa had such a serious water problem. With two chief ministers from this region, these issues should have been addressed by now. However, we already allocated ₹45 crore for the Pulivendula drinking water project, and the coalition govt aims to ensure there is no shortage of drinking water anywhere in the state. I promise to solve this issue and provide relief to the people,” Pawan Kalyan said.
He also referred to the success of the Uddanam project, initiated with ₹61 crore during Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure from 2014 to 2019, as an example of the govt’s ability to tackle such challenges effectively.
During his speech, Pawan Kalyan celebrated Rayalaseema’s rich cultural and educational legacy, describing it as the “land of education” and home to the most libraries in the state. He praised the contributions of notable figures from the region, including Annamayya, Vemana, Puttaparthi Narayanacharya, KV Reddy, and Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, and called it a land of opportunities rather than backwardness.
