BHPian YY0612 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: After eight incredible years together, it’s time to say goodbye to my beloved Hyundai Creta. It wasn’t just about the distance traveled, but the memories made along the way. From road trips to late-night drives, this car has seen it all. Choosing the Right One: I considered the Maruti Brezza, Fiat Avventura and Ford Ecosport before finalizing on the Hyundai Creta. Brezza I had to reject because at the time it was offered only with Diesel engine. Ford Ecosport I found very cramped at the back and Fiat Avventura just because of crossover type look. A Car That Never Let Me Down: Over these eight years, my Creta has been incredibly reliable. It’s truly been a peace of mind to own. Apart from the battery dying during the COVID period, I never encountered any issues with it. I took this car to lot of places around Bangalore like Coorg, Wayanad, Ooty, Chikmagalur etc during which some mild off road conditions are encountered and it handled everything with ease. I replaced the tires at 50,000 km, opting for Yokohama all-terrain tires, which have been a great addition. Modifications in 8 long years: My Creta was the very first generation one but as the second generation body shape was similar I managed to get second generation front bumper fixed in mine. It gave my beloved a facelifted look. I also got the projector headlights to improve night time visibility. It was a much needed upgrade. As I say goodbye, I know the Hyundai Creta will continue to have a legacy. It’s a vehicle that marked an important phase in my life and, undoubtedly, in the lives of countless other Creta owners.
