A total of 237 offenders were arrested during an anti-drunk driving campaign during the weekend as Cyberabad police officials carried out widespread checks across key locations, ensuring strict enforcement of traffic laws and public safety.
According to police, 191 offenders were riding two-wheelers, 11 were driving three-wheelers, and 35 were driving four-wheelers. Among the offenders, 19 were found to have alarmingly high blood alcohol concentrations (BAC), ranging between 200 mg/100 ml and 550 mg/100 ml — well beyond permissible limits. Those arrested will be produced in court for legal action.
