Cyber attacks have become a concerning factor in India in this digital age. Be it financial fraud or phishing, there has been a rapid increase in cybercrime in the country.
As per the latest report by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), Telangana is in the first position in cyber attacks. Tamil Nadu and Delhi follow it in the next two positions.

According to the reports, the most attacked cyber sectors are banking, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, and insurance. The report stated that these states experience a high rate of malware activity, possibly due to higher digital adoption and connectivity levels.
The report noted, “While major tech hubs like Telangana (15.03% of detections) and Tamil Nadu (12%) remain primary targets, we’re seeing increasing activity in Tier 2 cities. This suggests that cybercriminals are expanding their reach beyond traditional targets, possibly because smaller cities might have less robust cyber defences.”
