Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar invited former Chief Minister and leader of Opposition K. Chandrasekhar Rao to attend the unveiling of Telangana Thalli statue at the State Secretariat scheduled on Monday (December 9, 2024).

KCR and the Transport Minister recalled the protests held in Delhi demanding formation of a separate State for Telangana.
A few days ago, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that the government will invite the Opposition leaders including Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief KCR, Union Ministers and BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay would be invited to the celebrations, including unveiling of Telangana Thalli statue at the State Secretariat.
Mr. Prabhakar, who is also in-charge Minister of Hyderabad, said that there were no discussions about Telangana Thalli statue with KCR. BRS leaders have earlier pointed fingers at features of the new statue. They shared images of Telangana Thalli claiming that some features are missing and design elements were changed.
Transport Minster Ponnam Prabhakar met with Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy in Hyderabad on Saturday (December 7, 2024).

Mr. Prabhakar and others met Mr. Kishan Reddy too. They have also invited Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to the celebrations.
