Nizamabad: A rabid stray dog bit around 11 children in Armoor town on Saturday. All the children were aged below 12.
According to reports, the canine had been on a rampage since Saturday morning and was trapped late in the evening. Most of the children were attacked in Gole Bungalow and surrounding colonies.
The stray dog first attacked two children in Gole Bungalow colony and later went on attacking children in the surrounding colonies. The injured were immediately shifted to government hospital for treatment.
Residents have raised concerns about the growing number of stray dogs in the area, which they say poses a threat to children, the elderly, and pedestrians. They have demanded immediate action from the Municipal authorities to address the issue.
