Installed a GPS mount on my Meteor 350: Overall cost & quality

The mount received seems to be of good quality and finish. This mount must be fixed on the headlight bolts.

Recently I got GPS mount installed on my Meteor 350. I have been using Yellowfin waterproof mobile holder. This is exact same product as more popular Bobo phone holder but lot cheaper. I had mounted it directly on the handle. But view angle was not convenient as I had to take my eyes off the road to check the route.

I was looking for a GPS mount which would give me a better view. But there are hardly any products available for Meteor 350. Most of the products are available for adventure tourers like Himalayan, 390 Adv etc. Finally I came across thread on the forum https://www.team-bhp.com/news/instal…ield-himalayan and reached out to Altitude Moto.

I contacted the owner directly from the number obtained from Instagram. He is from Mumbai and arranges the delivery to other location with additional charge (in my case it was around INR 150 deliver to Bangalore). Total cost was INR 1940.

The mount received seems to be of good quality and finish. This mount must be fixed on the headlight bolts. As there is only one bolt on either side there is a possibility of movement while riding. So, they have provided additional connector which will be connected to the bolt below trip meter. Which makes the overall structure 3-point joint and restricts the movement in any direction once it is fixed.

Being DIY enthusiast, I tried to install it myself. But without the understanding of headlight assembly design, I kept on trying to loosen the bolt with Allen key for 15 mins only to realize the nut inside the headlight was also rotating along with . By that time, I had lost the energy and patience and took the mount to local garage and instructed him how to install it. After that it was just a 10 mins work for him. Mount is quite sturdy and not touching my speedo meter or the windshield.

I have captured the installation pics in case someone wants to install to their Meteor 350.

Mount was delivered with all required bolts and bushes

Liked their attention to the details, contours are exactly matching with the shape of speedometer.
