BJP Member of Parliament from Nizamabad D. Arvind has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of having “no grip over the administration” and charged that the latter was out to “sabotage the real estate market of Hyderabad with his HYDRAA – Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency”.
“He (CM) is not even doing basic administration, forget about implementing the promised guarantees to farmers, women and other sections. Instead of putting the systems in order, he has introduced HYDRAA. Why is he out to destroy Hyderabad? Farmers and women are waiting to teach him a lesson,” he claimed at a press conference at the State office here on Tuesday (December 09).
The MP said in the last one year of Congress government rule no concrete steps have been taken to increase incomes and the same contractors are ruling the roost. “The CM should go to the districts and check for himself the status of education, health or migration of labour. He has not reviewed a single department properly,” he said.
When the Centre has been providing funds for development of National Highways, village roads and railway lines besides reviving the fertilizer plant with thousands of crores of rupees, Mr. Revanth Reddy has been making baseless allegations, said Mr. Arvind.
Further, the CM has no right to criticise the ‘Gujarat Model’ without even being aware of what was done there under Prime Minister Modi when he was the Chief Minister. “River Sabarmati riverfront development was done only after the affected people were shifted to newly constructed homes with a proper plan by Mr. Modi. I am for protection of water bodies but will the earth movers go to the Old City? Mr. Revanth Reddy is following the path of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao,” said the BJP leader.
Both the Congress and BRS parties are playing ‘statue politics’, he said and alleged “there is not much difference between both regimes as looting and treachery continues.” The MP also demanded the government to take up ‘obstacle limitation surveys” for proposed airports in Warangal, Adilabad and Nizamabad soon so that works can start as also permissions for seven road over/under bridges in his constituency.
In a separate development, Kamareddy BJP MLA K. Venkata Rama Reddy has met GHMC, RERA, HMDA and HYDRAA officials to complain against certain real estate companies for ‘gross violation’ of norms like illegal construction, encroachment, etc.
