HYDERABAD: A day after both Tollywood actor Mohan Babu and his younger son Manoj approached Rachakonda police seeking police protection, Manoj on Tuesday said that his fight was for self-respect and not to claim property.
“I am not doing this for property or for money. It is about my self-respect, the safety of my wife and children. If there is a dispute with me, they should have dealt with me. But to corner me, they have included my wife and daughter in this issue,” Manoj said while briefly speaking to the media at his Jalpally residence.
He accused police action of being partisan. Manoj said that security personnel associated with him were made to vacate the premises by police, whereas bodyguards belonging to his warring group were allowed inside.
“How can police take biased action after taking my complaint?” Manoj said.
Meanwhile, Manoj’s elder brother, Manchu Vishnu, who was abroad, returned to Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. He expressed optimism that the dispute would be resolved and called it a common thing in every family.
On Monday night, both Mohan Babu and Manoj submitted two different complaints and approached Rachakonda police seeking protection. While Mohan Babu accused Manoj and his wife of orchestrating a plan to unlawfully take possession of Mohan Babu’s house through intimidation and force, Mohan Babu asked police to take action to evict Manoj and his wife from the property.
Similarly, Manoj, in his complaint, alleged that unknown persons came to his residence and threatened his wife, and later they attacked him, causing injuries.
