
TIRUPATI: The forest department officials have confirmed the presence of two big cats in the reserve forests at Nellore from the Nallamala forests.
According to Nellore DFO B Chandrasekhar, two Tigers were seen moving around the reserve forests nearby Atmakur, Udayagiri and Rapur.
The DFO stated that one of the Tigers had migrated to the forest area near the Penchalakona Narasimha Swamy temple from the Kurnool Tiger corridor about two months ago.
The other big cat spotted near the reserve forests at Atmakur-Udayagiri came from the Nallamala forests about 9 months ago.
In view of the movement of the Tigers in the Nellore reserve forests, about 18 trap cameras have been set up to track their movements continuously.
