VISAKHAPATNAM: Four Class-IX students of a Boarding Home located under Maharani Peta police station limits in Vizag city went missing from their hostel on Monday.
The disappearance of the students was captured on the hostel’s CCTV cameras. After reaching out to the students’ parents, who confirmed that their children had not come home, the management of the hostel lodged a missing complaint with MR Peta police station. The preliminary investigation has revealed that students of the home were shown a movie on Sunday.
One of the four boys, who had Rs12,000 with him, paid Rs8,000 in fee and took the remaining money with him when he left the hostel.
The police reviewed the CCTV footage and formed a special team to locate the missing students. On Tuesday night, the students were traced to Vijayawada, and arrangements were made to bring them back to Vizag.
