A two-day Collectors’ conference will be held at the Secretariat in Amaravati on December 11 (Wednesday) and December 12 (Thursday).
On the first day of the meeting, topics such as RTGS, grievance redressal, village and ward secretariats, WhatsApp governance, and positive public perception will be discussed.
In the afternoon session, the focus will shift to sectors such as agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, public supply, forests, water resources, panchayat raj, MGNREGS, rural water supply, SERP, urban development, CRDA, and law and order.
On the second day, discussions will revolve around industries, IT, investments, power, human resources, transport, roads and buildings, housing, health, welfare of SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, women, revenue, excise, mines, and district development plans.
The government is likely to focus development and welfare programmes implemented over the last six months, the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 document, newly introduced policies among others. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will issue directives on the goals for the next four and a half years.
The meeting will involve Collectors of 26 districts and the heads of 40 departments. The Chief Minister is expected to take feedback from the participants on various issues.
The meeting will also be attended by Ministers and IPS officers. Notably, the previous government had conducted only one Collectors’ meeting in five years, while the current coalition government is holding its second meeting within six months.
