Ever since the success of Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has been the biggest pan-India star with films like Adipurush, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD setting new box office records. But now Allu Arjun is all set to challenge him for the spot and the first step in that direction has been his latest release Pushpa 2- The Rule.

Pushpa 2-The Rule since the day of its release, has set the cash registers ringing, and in no time, it has gone on to become the biggest hit of the year displacing Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, which had collected nearly Rs 600 crore this year. That is not all; the film has now gone on to become the 4th biggest hit of Indian Cinema, replacing Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ mythological sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone.
At the end of 5 days, Pushpa 2 had minted Rs 593.45 crore as per Sacnilk, and on the 6th day, the film added another Rs 52.4 crore to its kitty, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 645.85 crore, while Kalki’s box office collection stands at Rs 646.31 crore.
Going by the 7th day numbers for it’s morning shows, Pushpa 2 has already added more than Rs 1.50 crore to its collection, taking it’s collection to RS 647.35 crore, and thereby replacing Kalki 2898 AD from its position of the 4th biggest hit of Indian Cinema.

Pushpa 2 is now all set to challenge the holders of the Top 3 positions which are Ram Charan and NTR Jr’s RRR, Yash’s KGF 2 and SS Rajamouli-Prabhas- Rana Dagubbati’s Baahubali 2- The Conclusion.
The Allu Arjun led film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu in leading roles, and makers have also announced the third part of the franchise which has been titled as Pushpa 3- The Rampage.
