Hyderabad: Union civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said the govt plans to replicate the pathbreaking AI-powered airport predictive operation centre (APOC) system at Hyderabad airport at other airports across the country to get a centralised repository of data for quicker and better policy making.
“Technology can be revolutionary in providing passenger services, especially with systems like DigiYatra, which reduced passenger entry time at security gates from 20 seconds to 5 seconds. We feel there are other data points that can also be captured at airports. At the ministry, we are thinking of how we can integrate all this data into one central repository because it’s important for us to back up any policy decision with the right kind of data and analytics. We are taking some ideas from this APOC centre to try and evolve it so that the ultimate goal of having one central repository is met,” he said.
