BHPian mobike008 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Day trip to Canada on December 7th, 2024 As usual, I’m always looking for opportunities to drive. When a cousin moved from Abu Dhabi to Vancouver, we decided to make a trip to meet them for a day and make the most of what we do when we visit Vancouver, Canada for a day- Eat, Eat and Drive, Drive. My pal and neighbor wanted to join us just for breakfast and get back home by lunch as he had other commitments. We both left home at 9:00am in our respective Teslas (M3P and M3) It was a rainy morning but, luckily when we crossed border into Canada, the weather gods were kind and sun came out. This is my favorite weather, sun post rain. Gives a different hue to the skies and makes everything look lovely. We picked them up and headed to Parantha to Pastas at 11:30am for a hearty brunch of Paranthas, Makke Ki Roti and Sarson ka saag. Post this breakfast my pal decided to go back to America. I thought I would never meet nobody who loves driving as much as me but, he is next level. 200 Miles just to eat breakfast and that too alone. LOL!! With the Blue Tesla departing back to America, we headed to Stanley Park in Vancouver downtown to enjoy a nice walk and scenic beauty of the park. Then we decided to drive on the world famous -Sea to Sky highway which is a 50 miles of corner carving roads that goes up to Whistler in Canada. We stopped at multiple places on this scenic highway with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Thankfully the timing was right and on the way back around 4:00pm the sun was going down and the views were to die for. I thought of sharing a quick photoblog (no long commentary or titles to the pictures) of this beautiful highway in full glory of colorful sunsets. We came back to Surrey around 7pm and enjoyed a lovely dinner in our favorite fancy restaurant and dropped them back and were home by midnight. Quick Note on the Tesla Model 3 Performance It was exhilarating to drive on the new rubber and I was testing it by putting it through the spanners. The tires performed like a superstar even at higher speeds in the corner and return drive was completely in rains in the night and their wet performance was surreal, it felt like I was driving on dry tarmac. Super happy with these new Conti Extreme Contact DSW06+ (More on my Tesla Ownership Thread) Cheers to an amazing day in Canada. BHPian mobike008 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: It was raining cats and dogs when we left home but, the moment we crossed the border. It was nice and sunny. Quick Starbucks Coffee Break before we hit the border. Entered from a different border this time. It was 5-minutes to cross over. After picking up cousins, this was our first pit stop for brekkie. Fabulous food. Better than what we get in Delhi. Looks like all Punjabis have moved to Canada and now the Pronthas in Dilli are being made by Tamilians. Just kidding… Dessert- Crispy Hot Jalebis with Rabri. Dinner at Tasty Indian Bistro- Nice Fancy place with great food. View from Stanley Park, Vancouver. Post the breakfast, driving to Vancouver. Lovely stretch and drive. 3 Cybertrucks in a Tesla showroom is a sight to behold. Sea to Sky Highway. Continue reading BHPian mobile008’s travelogue for more insights and information.
