Actor Allu Arjun has been detained by Chikadpally police of Hyderabad on Friday (December 13, 2024) morning in connection with the stampede at Sandhya Theatre at the premiere of Pushpa-2 which that claimed a life.
The actor was picked up from his residence and taken to the Chikkadpally Police Station for questioning at 12.10 p.m. The Task force officials assisted the Chikkadpally police in the arrest.

The police have earlier booked a case against the actor, his personal security staff in the case pertaining to the stampede on December 4, 2024. A 35-year-old woman, Revathi, died. Her eight-year-old son was rushed to a hospital. The case was booked against management of the theatre too. Three members of the management were arrested.
A few days ago, the actor filed a criminal petition with Telangana High Court seeking to quash the First Information Report in which he is one of the accused.
Two days after the stampede, Mr. Arjun expressed condolences and his support to Revathi’s family. He promised to donate ₹25 lakhs to the family as a ‘goodwill gesture’.
