Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu has issued a stern warning against unauthorised constructions in the city. He emphasised that any structures built without GMC approval would be demolished.

Following the Commissioner’s directives, unauthorised constructions along the Inner Ring Road and Vasavi Nagar Main Road were demolished on Friday by the town planning officials with the assistance of police personnel.

Mr. Srinivasulu said that several complaints had been received regarding illegal constructions in the city. In response, town planning officials have been instructed to collect details of such constructions ward-wise through secretariats and prepare an action plan for their removal.

The Commissioner also urged builders and property owners to comply with the government-mandated checklist for obtaining building permissions. He assured that applications adhering to these guidelines would be processed promptly. He further appealed to residents to secure necessary approvals before starting any construction and to cooperate with GMC in maintaining orderly urban development.
