Hyderabad CP CV Anand issues guidelines for New Year parties

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand has asked New Year event organizers to ensure that all performances are free of profanity and that everyone is dressed appropriately.

The CP issued guidelines for hotels, clubs, bars, pubs, and restaurants with regard to the New Year Celebrations on the intervening night of December 31, 202,4 to January 1, 2025.

Accordingly, the management should not allow minors at pubs, bars, or parties planned for couples. Drugs shouldn’t be allowed at all. Security guards should be deployed by the organizers to ensure orderly parking within the building and consistent flow at the entrance and exit gates, he said.

The management should seek approval 15 days in advance and deploy enough security personnel to control traffic if they want to hold ticketed events until midnight. They must make sure that all parking lots and entry and exit points have security cameras with recording capabilities.

The sound system in outdoor spaces must be turned off by 10 p.m., and indoor closed spaces may only have sound systems until 1 am, with a noise level of no more than 45 dB. Likewise, the organizers were cautioned not to permit firearms within the venue and to make sure that passes are not issued more than the available space.

Additionally, management must arrange for drivers or taxis to transport sober patrons, and they should refrain from serving alcohol outside the hours allowed by the Excise Department. Driving when intoxicated, reckless, or by a minor should not be promoted. It is best to prevent noise pollution and to keep two-wheelers’ silencers in place. There shouldn’t be any fireworks used or shown by the management.

Similarly, any advisories issued by the relevant departments ought to be posted for visitors to see on the premises. Since there are She Teams everywhere, anyone who commits a crime against women will face harsh legal consequences.
