According to the information available, the victim received a WhatsApp message offering a part-time job involving posting reviews. The cyber fraudsters provided Google Maps links and instructed her to write reviews and give 5-star ratings to specific businesses.

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman software employee from the city became the latest victim of cyber fraud and lost Rs 86,000 on pretext of a part time job of online scam to post reviews.
As per available information, the victim sent her a message on WhatsApp offering part time job for posting reviews. The cyber fraudsters shared Google Maps links and asked her to post a review and give a 5-star rating to certain businesses.
Initially, she received payments for completing the tasks. Eventually, she could not withdraw her earning and was pressurised by the fraudsters to complete more tasks to get paid more and then would be able to withdraw it.
Suspecting it was a fraud; the victim approached the Cybercrime police and lodged a complaint.
Case is under investigation.
