Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the arrest of Allu Arjun, saying that it was totally uncalled for.
In a post on X, KTR said the National Award winner’s arrest was the “pinnacle of insecurity of the rulers”. “I totally sympathise with the victims of the stampede, but who really failed? Treating @alluarjun Garu as a common criminal is uncalled for, especially for something he isn’t directly responsible for. There is always space for respect and dignified conduct. I strongly condemn the high-handed behaviour of the govt,” he said.
He said, by the same logic, CM Revanth Reddy should also be arrested for causing the death of two persons who died in Hyderabad because of the fear psychosis caused by HYDRAA. Former minister Harish Rao also condemned the arrest and questioned who gave permission for Pushpa-2 benefit shows. tnn
