Kashmir tourism agents visit Visakhapatnam to promote tourism


In a bid to woo tourists to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), and Ladakh, as part of the promotion of J&K in Andhra Pradesh, tourist agents from Kashmir visited the city on Saturday.

Led by Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Kashmir Chapter chairman Nasir Shah and Association of Domestic Tour Operators Association of India Kashmir chapter chairman Mir Anwar, the agents met the stakeholders of the State led by K. Vijay Mohan, president of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum, and other government officials.

The Kashmir agents said that they will promote Visakhapatnam and urged the stakeholders to impress their clients to visit J&K and Ladakh, which are now connected by roads of high standards. There are lot of train options apart from 42 flights operating to J&K and Ladakh from across the country, they added.

Speaking on the occasion, K. Vijay Mohan spoke about the hospitality extended to tourists in Kashmir. He also declared to bring 30 travel agents to Srinagar after February 22, 2025. Visakhapatnam District Tourism Officer Veni was also present.
