Revanth vows justice for Madigas

Hyderabad: Chief minister Revanth Reddy said the one-man commission on SC sub-categorisation is likely to submit its report in a week and assured that the Congress govt would do justice to the Madiga community in the state.
Speaking at the global Madiga day programme on Saturday, the CM said AICC leader Rahul Gandhi had made a clear statement during the assembly polls that a positive decision would be taken on sub-categorisation and kept its promises by constituting a commission.
He said the govt, to ensure Madigas’ representation, appointed one officer in the CMO and one vice-chancellor for OU from the Madiga community. It is for the first time in the 100-year history of the university that a VC was appointed from the community, he said. Even Madigas were posted in various crucial posts in the education fields and even in the skill university board.
“The Congress govt will not mete out injustice to them. It will ensure the community gets their due share. It may take some time, but the govt will render justice,” Revanth Reddy said. TNN
