Hyderabad: After being released from jail on Saturday morning, actor Allu Arjun described his arrest and time in jail as “a challenging situation for the family.”
Emotional scenes unfolded at Arjun’s home when he arrived after spending the night at Central Prison, Chanchalguda, on Friday. His wife, Sneha Reddy, welcomed him with a heartfelt embrace. Several family members, including Surekha, wife of actor Chiranjeevi, came to meet him. Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Arvind, was visibly relieved to see his son free. The actor’s residence on Road 68 was heavily secured, with police deployed at key points, including the BSNL headquarters road and the Jubilee Hills checkpost, to manage the situation and ensure security.
On Friday night, Allu Arvind had hoped the bail papers would be processed quickly, sparing Arjun from spending the night in jail. When it became clear that the formalities would only be completed the following morning, he returned home feeling dejected.
“It was an unfortunate incident where a woman lost her life in a stampede when I went to the theatre to watch my movie. I will personally reach out to the family and offer all the support they need,” Arjun told the media. He urged fans and the public to prioritise safety during gatherings.
Arjun emphasised that he was a law-abiding citizen and would fully cooperate with the police and judiciary in the case. He was arrested in connection with the stampede that occurred at Sandhya Theatre when he visited to watch his film. “The matter is now in court, and I would prefer not to comment further,” he added.
The actor also expressed his gratitude to his fans worldwide. “I love my fans,” Arjun said.
Several film personalities visited Arjun at his residence, including Pushpa-2 director Sukumar, actors Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, R Narayanamurthy, and Kannada actor Upendra.
