Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024 in a case related to the death of a woman at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule earlier this month.

A day after Allu Arjun walked out of the Hyderabad jail, the actor visited his uncle and veteran star Chiranjeevi. On Sunday, videos of the Pushpa 2: The Rule actor surfaced on social media in which he was seen driving out of his house as he left to meet Chiranjeevi. Allu Arjun was also accompanied by his wife Sneha Reddy and their children.
This comes hours after Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha also visited Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence and was seen hugging him. Prior to this, Chiranjeevi also visited his house soon after the actor was arrested.
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, in a case related to the death of a woman at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule earlier this month. The woman died after the chaos unfolded as massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who was attending the event alongside music director Devi Sri Prasad. In the ensuing commotion, the theatre’s main gate collapsed, resulting in a stampede. A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her 9-year-old son sustained severe injuries.
Allu Arjun was picked up from his residence and then sent to 14-day judicial custody. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. However, delays in paperwork resulted in him spending a night in jail.
Upon his release, Allu Arjun expressed his remorse, calling the woman’s death “very unfortunate”. “I thank everyone, this incident was very unfortunate, we are extremely sorry whatever happened, we are with the family, this never happened with anyone, I am there to support the family in every way, I am thankful to everyone,” he said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Allu Arjun is currently enjoying the success of Pushpa 2: The Rule. It was undoubtedly the most awaited film of the year and has been getting an overwhelming response from the audience. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, the film has already crossed Rs 1000 crore at the box office.
