The Group II examination by Telangana Public Service Commission conducted on Sunday passed smoothly and incident free with a low attendance of 46.75% (2,57,981) for a total registered candidates of 5,51,855. In all, there were 1,358 centres across the 33 districts in the State. And as per official numbers, 74.96% candidates had downloaded the hall tickets. As per the examination notification released in December 2022, the examination aims to fill 783 vacancies in 18 various departments.  The day one examination was conducted in two sessions of paper-I General Studies and General Ability (46.75% attendance) and paper-II History, Polity and Society (46.30% attendance). The sessions on Monday include paper – III Economy and Development and paper-IV Telangana movement and State formation.

In one case on Sunday, the Commission reported a case of a suspicious candidate, who upon being checked, was found with a foldable mobile phone hidden in his innerwear. He was stopped from writing the exam and was handed over to the police for further procedure.
